mk l28 petrol, went through a puddle 6" the other day and you guest it it died. just wondering what people have done to stop this happening " WATER PROOFING WISE."

OK, get good leads... the dizzy, silicone... & did i mention silicone & water proof all connections!
Get rid of the points & change over for electronic dizzy approx $250

Heat Shrink is good stuff too ;)

ive heard of people using that spray bandage stuff like when you get a cut.

rubber hose works well over leads as in garden hose

Electronic dizzy and seal the distributor cap with silicon - works a treat. Next you will need to look at your air intake as that too is prone to water egress.

silicone is goooood i siliconed up the dizzy on a yota i had and got bogged in a puddle well water was over the dizzy but the motor was still running :D and didnt miss a beat
