Anyone fitted 33's into IFS Rocky/Fourtrack?

Post by X90 »

Hi! My name's Luck, I'm new here :D I'm looking for photos/info about how to fit 33" into IFS Rocky. There's a lot of stuff about solid axles, but it looks like making IFS more off road capable is much less popular... I would be thankfull for detail information from someone who made such an upgrade.

Greatings,
Luck

Unless your into chopping, you will need a body lift of 2 or 3", plus the normal suspension lift of around 40-50mm to fit 33" tyres.

Have you got any modifications currently?
Also, as said before, 33" tyres stuff the gearing a lot.

I did.
To put you Rocky on 33"s you need:
2" Bodylift
2" or 3" Suspension lift. (Wound up torsion bars + 2" longer shackles + 2" leafsprings)
Cut out the flares about 2".

But the IFS doesn't carry 33"s. My front susp after a year of driving looks like shit.
Now I'll put LJ78 axels under my rocky + sammi's t-case and 36" simex.
It must be good.

We are talking about a Rocky/Fourtrack.. not Feroza/US Rocky/Sportrack

Your car looks nice though... don't see too many Roza's on 33" :D

Thanks for all replys. To be true to You, I didn't bought Rocky yet. I've sold a Vitara and now I'm interested in something with turbo diesel engine for mild off road and longer trips. I consider LWB Rocky with IFS, that's why I'm asking about possible modifications (series I Pajero handels 33" with ease, only 1,5" bodylift is needed).

I still hope there is someone, who seattled IFS Rocky on 33"

P.S. @mrRocky, i really enjoy Your ride, but movie shows that 2"+2" lift is not enough for 33" :D

Nick (hot4ok) has some pics with his IFS rocky on my 32' tsl/sx swampers. These measure almost the same as 33 MTR's and other small measuring 33's.

That a 32x11.5x15 Super Swamper TSL/SX on Speedy 15x8" rims with -28mm offset.
My Rocky has around 50mm suspension lift.

Though that tyre is a 2 PSI, and grows much more when a bit of pressure is applied.

car does not rub at all, even on full articulation, dont forget 33" jungle trekkers actually measure 34" compared to some brands of 33" that measure 32" check out actual size of tyre first
