bitoff topi but lockrs can make things harder if not used correctly, i was doing landrover hill at roverpark (scraping on pumpkin) and was turning the corner to go over the rock ledge. But was struggling ..kept excesively spinning and puulling me in the wrong direction...switched it off and drove the corner without a hassle..re-engaed it again to climb th rock face.

Its due to torque reaction from the motor, combined with patrols lower roll stiffness in the rear and biased front to rear travel. As the weight moves to the rear (climbing), and you apply the right boot, the torque from the motor tries to turn the chassis opposit to the driveshaft dirrrection (if you want to see what i mean get an auto can and watch the motor lurch to the left when its stalled up). Because of the inboard rear springs (compared to the outboard front springs) and the greater force on the rear suspension due to weight transfer, the front passenger will lift. It can be changed with different suspension link geometry, as well as correcting the roll stiffness issue. Lockers will lessen the effect as they allow smoother lower reving driving, and better traction.

Are toyota tarago's transverse motors? If so they wont lift eh LHF wheel as there is no torque twist through the chassis from the driveline.
