I used to recon these when I started my apprenticeship.
pretty simple, large, but not overly strong spring behind the diaphragm to watch for when undoing the two large halves, you can see how they undo.
Simple valving on the firewall side.
O/haul kit should be pretty obvious what goes where.

Re the stag, I cant remember them, its not the remote vj40 booster on those is it, its just the same as the inline with pedal and brake master cyld.
One fiddly bit to remember when reinstalling it, (along with ample rubber grease), is the reaction disc behind the pushrod for the master cyld.
Its a rubber disc with a small nipple on it, and it gives pedal feel and response, these most often when new can fall out of position when bleeding brakes, and it results in an all or nothing of the brake application.
Quite exciting/ unpeasant, when testing the car for the first drive.
Very rarely have I seen it happen, but it can. You will konw the part im talking about when you see the kit.
I will try and find an exploded view of the unit and post it if I find it.

While we are on the topic of boosters - anyone ever modded a booster to run on compressed air instead of vacuum (or seen a commercial one capable of this - besides truck air brake actuators).

That's awesome, thanks a lot! It'll be interesting to find out where it's leaking; it's very audible in the cabin, sometimes a hiss sometimes a whistle.
I removed the old booster and there were a couple of issues, a tear in the diaphragm being the main one but a number of other deteriorated seals also being a bit of an issue.
Being a bit of a rare vehicle, no kit was available, so I dropped it in to a very good brake place (had two good experiences there now) for a bit of a "mix and match" reco job.
They charged me $238 to reco the booster, for which I expected them to test and replace all seals etc. However, they also cleaned it right up and painted it, so it looks like brand new.
Renovating a booster.
Well , I reckon you should re-stump, extend out the back , slap on a deck
and put in some of those nice seven way bi-folds.......oh, hang on
Wrong forum
renovate - give new life or energy to; "A hot soup will revive me"; "This will renovate my spirits"; "This treatment repaired my health"
reanimate, recreate, revivify, vivify, revive, animate, quicken, repair
energize, perk up, energise, stimulate, arouse.
I'd Give your booster a good old fashioned "arousing."
If that doesnt work give it to someone else to "stimulate",it may" perk up" after that.
But honestly you dont want to "recreate" the wheel.
Just pay some mob to fix it
