Wheel Bearing Adjustment for "96 Sierra Coilly

Post by Sirzooky »

Hi guys,

Just writing to see if anyone knows how to adjust the Front wheel bearings on my coilly sierra. I have pulled off the retainer and removed the screws, there are four holes that look like a special tool is needed. Had tried to move with a hole punch but is not moving. Any ideas?

PS- anyone have the tool? know where to go on the GC? need to do it asap. will pay in beers!

Yeah mate, I'm having the same trouble with my Vit and apparently I need a soecial socket and a big bar to tighten it.

Might try coventries or Blackwoods and will let you know how I get on.

sadiq i know ive been talking to you about this but i see another reply further down..

just in case you didnt know when you pull the screws out you need to take off that retainer (if your hitting this with the punch it will never move), behind that is the adjuster... it should move with a punch or you seriously have problems..

sadiq how did you go? sorry i didnt reply to your last sms i ran out of credit..

Hi guys, hi mark,

Got it sorted. My bearings were unable to be adjusted. Bought and fitted new ones. Just belted the thing with a punch and hammer. no worries cam undone straight away. Thanks heaps mark for your time otherwise i would have been at suzuki or something and got my pants pulled down.

Cheers

Sadiq
