D22 Navara and Calmini 3" Lift
D22 Navara and Calmini 3" Lift
HI All,
I have just started to look at a suspension Lift Kit for a D22 STR Navara 05' D/Cab ute. Calmini apparently do a 3" lift kit but I have had reports of front shafts being torn out..... Does anyone know anything about these kits, or have a Navara with a Calmini Kit fitted. I believe most of the lift comes from the Offset Front upper control arms. Would this cause any future dramas or damage.
Would it be best to just get a TJM / ARB 2" kit??
Any Info would be great...
Cheers

I have previously had a D21 Pathfinder and Navara, both with with the torsion bars cranked up.
With the 2" lift I had no issues in the front end, also check out AC Parts as they also have the front upper controls arms and are cheaper.
Persnally I wouldnt do it unless you have manual locking hubs as the reality is you only use 4wd a few times a month and then you really wont wear your CV's out etc.

Yeah, I worked that one out..lol
I had a look at www.purenissan.com and they have a range of things for the Navara / Frontier but I would rather see the Aussie version before I do it.. There is a D22 Mickey Thompson Navara that I saw at Tuff Trucks 2 years back, but that was mainly SkyJacker stuff, I have not looked at them yet, Maybe they might be worth a call.....

Nah, Well, I dont think so. I am not 100% sure...
It had off set control arms, the same as Calmini, but not too sure on any of the other components. I think it may be easier just to get the TJM or ARB Kit, I can fit it all myself and It will be about $800 bucks cheaper I guess... Although, If Calmini see these and offer the kit to me free as Marketing as marketing expense , well I wouldn't say no........( I don't like My chances..lol )
