piston pin size.
piston pin size.
I got some turbo piston from suzisport and they have a 19mm pin. What rods have a 19mm pin that will fit a serria 1300 block?
Its a wheelbase thing
Are you sure they are forged pistons , do they have casting marks inside and the only way I was told they fit is you get a 1600 crank , grind down mains to same as 1.3 , then use 1.6 rods , deck pistons by 1mm. Forged pistons should have no casting marks and I was quoted between $1400 - $1600 for forged custom pistons , Cheers Paul.
BLOWNZUK 1.3 efi,sc14 supercharger,hilux diffs,detroit lockers,stage 4 rockhopper,6 point cage,35 muddies.

GTi rods have 19mm pins., if you going that rout consider putting the crank in at the same time.
Are the piston sdt 74mm bore?
if they are 75mm chances are it's just a stock vitara piston

something else to consider, i don't remember exactly where i read it, maybe on a UK suzuki baleno site. Some guys bulding up one of the 1600 honda engines (d series i think) use suzuki pistons to raise the compression. So i don't see why using some honda pistons wouldn't lower the compression on Suzi motors for turbo and supercharging applications. Would need some looking into i guess but might be a cheap option to look at. Hope it helps,
Tim

Found a link to a page with some honda piston specs, can anyone tell us all how they compare to the Suzi ones??

It's the other way around, the Honda boys use Vitara pistons to lower the compression for turbos.oldcrusty72 wrote:something else to consider, i don't remember exactly where i read it, maybe on a UK suzuki baleno site.
