timing
My radeator blew last week so hade it repaired , put it back together water was still leaking out so took it down to shop they said it was the water pump, so had that replaced now the timing is out . but befor that they rang me up and asked if I had a kill switch in it becouse they could not start it. found out it was the timing belt was not lined up proply .so now I cant get it to run smoothly , if you turn it one way it flutters turn the other it has a flat spot cant get it wright, could it be the timing belt is not lined up proply for this to hapen .i took it back to where I got water pump done but I just wonted to know if this could be the reeson for this to hapen. its booked in for teusday but I would like to no, incase they just say its somthing else.

I thought if the belt is out by a tooth the car would run like a hairy go@t.
My Subaru had to the belt changed (by me), was out one tooth, and would only just idle properly.
Have you checked the ignition timing with a timing light?
