Air Tank Safety
I went down to bunnings today and got myself one of those 18 litre air tanks for $39. I am planning to place it between the rear of the passenger seat and my proposed drawer setup (no rear seats). I was concerned about the safety issues of having a 120psi tank behind the passenger seat in the event of a car crash. I was thinking of welding up a metal guard for it. Where do people usually mount them? It wont fit under the body. Opinions... Insight.....???
wow, a 40l tank would certainly help when inflating tyres.Woop wrote:My tank (40L truck airtank) is mounted behind cargo barrier on a LP gastank bracket picked up at the wreckers. Unbolts and lifts out when extra space required. I used locking airfittings and a 'stopflow' valve in case hose ruptures..
