We are home, arrived last night. Our Family Truck got us home safe and sound without a hiccup.

We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped and offered their services. There are far too many to mention but I will say a very big thank you to Robbie for sourcing all the parts and working so hard on our truck (He is truly a local legend!!!), Simmo for putting us up and making us feel so welcome Jacko and the boys for putting it all together again, Celia, Eugene and many other competitiors who offered all types of help and support and our friends who came down from Brisbane (5 cars) who supported us the whole way.

It is times like these that make you realise how lucky it is to be part of such a wonderful community, that being the 4WD community. We are eternally grateful for everything that was organised and can't wait to meet up with you guys again and share a drink around that campfire.

Sierrajim....no we won't be returning in a Zook, he Vit was too special....and actually enjoyed the swb this yr., far more confident about how it handled and all.

So disappointed I missed catching up with everyone on the Saturday. Arrived in the Hill just after 1:00pm and headed around to the Show n Shine and found that it was all finished. 2 hours earlier than last years.

Sorry to hear u missed the S&S you should of come on over at the Prologue.

Video is unbeleivable.
If you can stop in at 2 min and 8 sec's catch the view in daylight when the lightning strikes. Awsome.

Okay courtesy of the Fuzz via Celia. Here is a bit of a comparison for you of this years event and the difference a bit of water can make! This is the winch wall at Poolamaca (I think cos we didn't make it there due to the water!)

The ones with trucks in them are from 2003 OBC, Dodds and Norm in one and the other is Kim Bolton, the one with the wter fall is the 2007 OBC!

Got no pics of the competition. Was always to busy doing other stuff. But here's some pics of us before and after the rains. Theres a pic of the grader sideways somewhere but cant find it.

Looking for the spot where the Polaris got bogged and had to winch out. Surprise surprise the 3t Patrol got bogged in the same spot the 350kg Polaris (quad bike) did.

Setting the arvo stage GPS points. Someone got lost on the claypan.

Trying to get the grader fixed.

Bru, broken down. Trying to find a fuse from memory.

This is what our home looked like. And this is the shallow side.

The fire place. always had enough wood it never went out. Also there was a tree above that kept most of the water of the fire itself. We did have a leve bank around the fire at one stage.

The drive out. This was good section.
