hey guys i'm in the market for a new car. and i'm selling my 80 and 75.
got a few cars in mind, a new wrangler, triton single cab or hilux extra cab.
is the triton drivline much stronger than the lux's and are any big lifts 3i + available for them yetalso is the triton available in a xtra cab?
do the base models come with air bags?

NFI about the airbags.
The new Triton has the same size diffs as the last of the solid axle Pajeros. These are approaching Patrol size and strength, and rarely fail. Factory rear locker available, ARB locker for the front.
I can't comment on new 'lux drive train.
3" lift would be pushing an earlier Pajero, which has droop travel limited by big chunky stops. I believe the new Triton shares the current Pajero front suspension, which uses the shock absorbers to limit droop travel - so longer shocks should allow more lift, but you'd need to watch what happens at max compression.
The limiting factor on lift would be driveshaft angle. I've heard Mitsubishi IFS drive shafts are longer than most, so they can achieve a bigger lift for any given change in angle.
If you're happy to live with IFS, the Triton should be on your list. Let us know what you find out.

i saw a while back on here a red triton ml with a huge lift. in suspension only. so i'm curius as to who makes them.

The extra cab was not brought into Australia.
