Do all gq's come with a rear swaybar and can they all be disconnected?
89 gq dx. bone stock --- for now.

My 93 Mav GQ has a rear way bar but no release, it was a deleted option to keep the price down on the Mav's but common on the Patrols.

I have removed my front sway bar totally and use the rear disconnect in the rough...(I have a 89 SWB)....little on-road difference removing the front bar...have driven on-road with the rear disconnected too and I had no dramas...just a little more body roll.

No not all GQ's / Mavs came with Sway bars. Early DX's or DX equivalent ie pov packs. Some had none. Some had front only. Most likely that they will also have rear drum brakes also, if they dont have sway bars.
It's that or the previous owner is using them to hold up pot plants. At least thats what I am doing with mine.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
