Transmission seat goes where?

Post by Fearhoza »

The roza has always since i bought it, had a really loose and wobbly gearstick. To the point where when in gear, it moves like in neutral. About 5 cm in any direction, 360 degrees.

A mate who works for toyota got me onto the genuine part, called the "transmission seat" and it basically just looks like a little conical rubber ring. Now that i have it... Where does it go?

Take the gearstick out and off and slot it in?

Has anyone done it before?

In the Rocky, the conical seat sits under the ball on the gearstick. Pull the sick out, clean ut the remains of the old one, and put the new seat into the top of the box, refit the stick.
