i just ran a arb pressure switch that way its will kick in and out in the right pressures, also i used a starter relay encased in rubber to total seal it as i kept stuffing them from river crossings, i got my circuit breaker from an auto elec and teh relay from a guy that sells auto elec stuff at swap meets and the 4x4 shows.

vanbox have you completed your wiring of the BOSS compressor?

I ordered some replacement parts for mine (set of feet and air filter as they broke/got crushed in my temp tool box!) and they have included NEW WIRING INSTRUCTIONS same as your earlier post!!

Keen to see what you have done :)

yeah wired mine up last week or so. the exact way the diagram has shown. i went with 4 gauge wire (120Amp) cause the next 1 they had in the shop was 8 gauge and only 55amp. so hopefully less current drop.
got a 100A circuit breaker for $20. a 100A fuse holder was $18 and $10 per fuse, circuit breaker much better. a 200Amp solenoid switch on the earth terminal like the diagram states. i have a GU ute and put an extra earth strap to the body from the battery to help it out a lil too.

let me kno if u want pics, but wont be able to until next wk sometime

cheers

its mounted behind the passenger seat. its too big to go in the engine bay although considered at 1 stage to put it under the tray in a box of somesort, but air lines and lockers went to behind the seat from the previous ARB compressor.

will have pics next week.

They're fantastic, I brought one off ebay and have found it to be excellent.

Yeah I would second that, bloody fantastic, and mine is temporarily in a tool box with croc clips on to battery and 10mm nylon air line (with non return valve) :D

Hey, I've got one of these too.
Wondering if anyone recons it's worth spraying the air filter with the K&N stuff?

i guess it depends on where u are mounting it and how much dust/dirt it will encounter.

mine is behind the passenger seat on the floor in a single cab ute so i highly doubt it will get very dirty. but ill keep an eye on it and will spray if need be.

Good point.
I'll be mounting mine inside the car (behind the back seat of an XJ) so it won't get too dusty there.
Might give it a little squirt though.

sorry about the time its taken me to get the pics of the wiring. but i still havent done it yet  . will do as soon as i can.

i just have another question about the air locker pressure. i had a regulator (cheap from supercheap) but it leaks. i run between 110 and 150 psi and on the locker solenoids it states between 0-10 bar. now 10 bar is close to 150 psi. my question is would i be safe with 150 psi into my lockers? or should i buy a better (read: more expensive) regulator?

where have people bought their regs from? not after accuracy but something that holds its position and DOESNT leak.

hopefully some pics next week.
