mythbusters and moth balls

did anyone see this... they ran a v8 on a mothball mix and it sounded heaps better, wouldnt say how long it would last..... should stick a few in the ex's car and see how long it goes for....lol

Yeah I saw that. I was suprised that the egg in the radiator worked better than actually off the shelf radiator leak fix.

I did see this EP but i cant member it. I was always under the impression that mothballs would kill an engine.. Back in high skoool some year 12 put some in the VIce Princes car and a few days later the car wasn't around so we assumed it killed it cause a month later he had a new car :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Doubt they would do any damage. They probably dissolve, and if not they will just clog up the filter.

Supposedly they bump up the octane rating or similar.

i too beleived sugar would stop an engine but they proved that too

moth balls up the % of octane in your fuel it doesnt last very long but if i can remember right its 1 ball for every 10 litres and that will boost the octane level up 10% so if you run 98% fuel + moth balls you will have 109% fuel . but it only last ruffly a day and if you do try it put the balls in anhour before you drive so that they disolve

A lot of the "Fuel additive pills" are naphthalene check out www.myffi.biz for what they do and check out google to see its all crap.
