2002 Gu 4.8

Post by flyreels »

Hi I am looking to buy a GU 2002 4.8 with low klms is there any thing to look out for other than the normal things?
Do they have any common problems with gear boxes its a manual or diffs?
Can they run on lpg with out any problems ?
Thanks Peter

4.8 GAS

Post by Not For Highway Use »

I have heard some horror stories about the 4.8's being a bugger on Gas. I had mine converted by LPG1 using the GAS VAPOUR INJECTION. No hassles and running costs down from $28 per 100km to $10 per 100km. I believ that eventually I will need to get the valves done but not for 100,000km I won't own it then. Auto is really nice. Probalbly needs a heavier spring under tha loud pedal, a bit to responsive when going slow
