GU 3lt Ratios....

Post by Tazz »

Hey guys,

I have a pair of GU 3lt Diffs. They are the H260 rear and came out of a 3lt diesel with Manual gearbox.

They are burried under a heap of other bits and pieces at the moment and i cant easily check them.

Coming from a manual and being the h260 rear, can anyone tell me if they would be 4.6 or 4.3 ratio's, i believed they where 4.6 but am not 100% sure.

I've read thru the GU bible but the info isnt there.

Anyone help me out there.....

If it's an early GU before series IV it will be 4.375. Series IV became 4.111:1 diffs.

Looks like you are correct. According to Nissans website the final drive is still 4.375. But the latest patrol has changed manual gearbox ratio's slightly. 1st used to be 4.262 now it's 4.556 like the GQ's.

yeah i saw that...

i reckon its a miss print...

most 3L are the 4.3 even some of the new ones that i know that have been wrecked......

but you never know with nissan... plus i dont know why they would change the gears in the gearbox as the 3L box is the sam as the old 4.2 all previous 3l used that box too.... dont know why they would re-engineer something but hey they do weird stuff.......
