Vibrations under toque in 2nd

Post by rob-lo »

Ha all
New to this site ,Feroza f300
Vibrations under toque in 2nd
It starts at about 2500revs and pans out at 3.8 .
I’ve have had this problem since I bought the car.
The car is ok at speed and under braking

It got better when installed a body lift, but still their.
I think it’s the engine mounts. Vibration starting to cause oil leaks around
The oil filter .Can old flattened engine mounts course this Vibration?

Thanks for any response!

Does it only happen in second gear ?

I don't have an answer - but its worth checking your engine and transmission mounts anyway. They break all the time.......

Engine mounts, drive shaft uni's, anything bent in the suspension, can all attribute to vibes. Get checking. Also check bushes, and geabox mounting.

My guess of rev rang is pretty bad
It’s more like 2000 to2800 and
1st good, 2nd ok, 3rd bad, 4th ok, 5th good

Can you feel it- or hear it? My gearbox vibrated badly under load in certain gears before the rebuild. It was mainly audible noise.

I also have some vibration when i go between speed 80 and 90 kilometers per hour. To see that is not from the gear box or the engine i go 100 i put the gear off and I have the feeling the vibration with gear on or off. Could it be from the pitman or the idler arms? Beacuse the service last time i send my car asked me 500 $ to buy the pitman idler arm tie rod to expernsive.

Steering idler arms?
I’ve got crushed bushers on the idler arm .from a roll
I took the mounts out and opened or flared the metal
Cup on the top of the mount .this cut down Vibes.
The vibration is still there .but it’s not so bad
I’m getting sum new mounts!
Can you feel it- or hear it?
When I got the car the vibes (in 3rd under toque)
Started left runt moving across fire wall, up
The Window frame throw roof and to the back.
And you hear it.
My body life are made from cut from old bobcat
Tyers, hocky puck type. So it sucks up most the body
Vibrations. But I still hear it and feel it

I’m getting sum new mounts!
Thanks rob
