Just noticed the fan underneath the top mount Intercooler isn't working..
Is that fan supposed to be on constantly? Or does it come on when the engine is working hard?
If it's supposed to be constant, has anyone else had this trouble? Was/is it an easy fix, or do i need to get the multimeter out?
cheers.

Intercooler fan not working
what motor?
but i think the only GU with an intercooler fan is the RD28, and we had a similar drama,
when i noticed the fan wasnt workin, i tried a few differnet things to see what was causeing it,
what i found is if you unplug the lead from the front of the Intercooler, which is a sensor of some sorts, most lilkel a temp sensor,, the fan should run full time, i unplugged ours and it ran when ever the car was running so i left it at that,

Hey,
Yeah sorry, it IS the 2.8td.
I'll have a go at unplugging and re-plugging, see what happens. Didn't want to waste time mucking around until i got an answer.
How i spotted this was, my car was overheating this morning. I turned around, limped home (not far atleast) and took my other car. Meanwhile, while i was at work, the old man had a squiz over things, seemed like there was no water in the radiator (that'll do it). I only picked the car up 2 weeks ago, so i hadn't really checked anything yet.
While at Natrad, i noticed the I/C fan wasn't working. Well that's that said.
Cheers
