is it possible for me to get one as ive been thinking about rebuilding my td42 but cant afford to have it off the road for a few weeks so im wondering where and how much am i looking at for a td42 with all the turbo internals, minus all the bolt accessories or prices on ones fully rebuilt with all accessories????

East coast 4wd at chippin norton have one thats been rebilt i believe, not sure on price, give them a bell,

whats wrong with yours

nothing majorly wrong at all, just lost a wee bit of power i think as my mates one goes a lot better and theyre pretty much twins apart from the paint colour, plus i want to turbz mine and at 417000 i dont think she will like it too well

I know where there is one stripped for inspection for sale, I'd reckon $1000 to $1500 would do it, rebuild it and then sell yours as a runner if it still goes. It needs a rebuild kit(pistons,liners ect) was going to be a hotty but the owner decided it was too dear to do right so why bother at all. Shame too as it was going to be cam, big exhaust valves, piston coating all the fancy stuff.

hi guys yep just dropped my car at east coast 4wd contact brendan he was excellent

got some great parts too

he's rebuilding my td42 this week

Can't wait!

did you get a quote first?? And what does the rebuild consist of? new sleeves pistons the works?

HI guys

the engine was from ebay etc $3300 East coast rebuit it totally new pistons sleeves etc machined the head etc.

Lets just say i got it for just over $4000 drive in drive out!

Highly recommend them!
