aftermarket a/c for 93 hilux

Post by jonamaphone1 »

got a hilux lined up with rediculously low ks, service history, country vehicle and for the right price. basically the ideal vehicle for my needs.

the only thing is, it DOESN'T have aircon.

im wondering if anyone has come accross this before and successfully fitted aircon.

ballpark figures? am i looking at hundreds or thousands?

i would wait around for one that has a/c, but the gearbox in my little hatch has given up (bands in the auto corroded away) and the boss has been on my back for the past 2 weeks to get some new wheels.

.......im in qld if anyone knows of a low ks 2.8 luxy for sale

I doubt you would find a new kit anywhere now. But you should be able to find a second hand kit at a wreckers for around $450. They are very easy to fit. Especially if it allready has the holes in the firewall for the hoses which is common in the later ones.

Hey mate, You will have all mounting holes and wiring looms required. You can get a secondhand kit from the wreckers no worries, or buy an aftermarket system new through any Aircon shop

If purchasing from a wrecker, just make sure you get one of the 91 onwards kits as they have a different bracket ( they run a different style alternator to the earlier models )
I may be slow but I'm ahead of you!
