100 Series Front Leading Arms

Post by Gazza the Chippy »

Hey fellas, looking for some help, the front leading arm has broken the mount on the diff, causing it to leak somewhat. Is it poss to weld this back together or will it weaken the diff housing. Thanks Gazza.

Should've kept the wheels on the ground I spose.

Course you can. Weld it & add some bracing to prevent it happening again

Probably best to pull it apart and clean it out and heat with oxy and weld it with it hot, PM rover1 about it he was saying that's the propper way to do it we welded up a crack in my rear housing.

Get someone with a mig to zap it up and add gussets. Take out the noelathane and put rubber back in...less stress....quite a few options, flip arm brackets if you have high lift, x link if it is cracked up front...that removes the front of the brackets either side....caster plates strengthens it all up if you put rubber back in.and better flex.
