I ran 33x10.5x15 BFG MT's on 15x7 wheels with no lift in the front and 2" lift in the rear. No problems at all.

285's are a true 33" - slightly bigger than a 33x12.5R15 but also narrower.

I ran 315/75R16's (35") on mine without any body lift but required a fair bit of panel cutting/beating and a little extra offset.

The 285 by itslef tells you very little ..

a 285/75/16 is close to a 33
a 285/85/16 is close to a 35

etc etc ...

I ran 33x12.5 Cooper ST's. No lift, no worries.
