hey guys my brother got a turbo timer for his GU and has tried to set it up from the rear of the ignition barrel i think he said as the instructions say but turns out you cant do it like that on a GU bcoz they dont have a ECU so he says anyone hooked one uo to a GU who can tell me so i can pass it on.... cheers

a mate of mine did my GU and he just followed the intructions on the paperwork, sorry i dont know how it was done. but ill tell you that you will encounter problems with the sub tank and immobilisor unless its a nissan authorised timer or i think boggard was another one that didnt foul up.

eventually got mine all working, my mate was handy at electrics but the subtank problems stuffed him so $180 later at the auto elec its all working fine.

Boggards are definatly the go, Ive had 2 GU's and both have them, simple fitting into the loom

the boggard ones I fitted to my GU 4.2l had a piggy back plug, you just unpluged the loom to the barrell and this pluged between the loom, in the 25.8 it should be the same set up, the 3lt may be different, but frankly ecu or not they should be an easy fit, try ringing boggard
