Diff Protectors

Post by me3@neuralfibre.com »

Does anyone have a source for cheap diff guards to suit a Toyota? I could make one out of Reo bar, but am a little short on time.
Bolt on is obviously easier.
After watching a rover do it, I don't feel like using my crown wheel to open holes in the front diff.

Thanx

did one similar on my gu diff used a 10" hevy duty pipe cap 1/2 inch thick, I made mine mount closer to the diff n fully sealed it. I've hit rocks that were huge in 3 low at 5000 rpm n only sratched the paint, managed to dry bog the ute after sliding the whole lenth on a rock the lenth of the ute n sitting on both diffs, all wheels 1 foot in the air, another 5 grand hill climb.
These pipe caps are great n can do both diffs out of one cap
Happy welding
