dont necessarily take this as dead right.... but i dont think so... i was looking at doing this and from memory the bolt pattern on the front of the box is different....not sure tho because what stopped me from doing it was that ya had to use the other type of transfer ( gear or chain driven) which would change where the stick came into the cab and required losing or modifying the tunnel/centre console setup... cant remember exactly anymore (was a while ago now) but investigate all the issues before you go in.... i think there was going to be a mod to the fromt driveshaft as well..

then again maybe it is all good there are some people on here who seem to know more about gearboxes so wait for them to post up... or search!!

cheers

Some more clarification might help, ie you say trimatic / to Supra 5 speed yet ask about the box at the bellhousing. Whats with the Trimatic reference ?

But you probably have a G series in your Lux so yes it will fit as I doubt a 253 to Supra bellhousing would be for the R series Supra trans, although they are available.

Most of the Supra trans sold are W series which has the same pattern as the G series etc whereas the larger R series is different.

sorry for confusion.
what im trying to do is put 253 v8 in 90 model lux 253 is trimatic patern.
which i want to fit to my standard toyota 5 speed (g52 i think) the bell housing i have been offered is to bolt the 253 to a supra 5speed box, and i am unsure wether the bell housing wouls suit my gearbox.
any help greatly apreciated.
cheers

It should not be a problem as it will be 99.9999 % that the bell will be for a W series Supra 5 speed, which has the same pattern as your G52.
