This may sound stupid to some of you who have been doing this for years and years but where can one take his rig to practice this sort of winching and driving?
Would Neerim and Toolangi be a good start? Maybe that’s another thread subject. ...... yes or any other forest.

i wasnt taking the piss dude ..... answering questions as best i can!
Good boy.. you leave the piss taking to me!

Look here for CCDA http://ccda.info/cms/index.php

If you want to pratice winching firstly sit down with your navi and go through the rules off the CCDA site in downloads i think.

It is both ..... well car specs have to be a minimum of group B in ccda ruling .... so 4 point cage kinda stuff ..... If you have a challenge car.... big v8, upgraded winch motor with all the bells and whistles, 37" aggressive tyres and so on you are still allowed to race! Its not what the car can do or has..... its what experience the driver and navi have. so you could grab GQ hoons car if he would let you and race in that .....

Hey Pete ... can I borrow it for the vic winch weekend ? promise i wont scratch it ..... much!

Go to :

http://ccda.4wd.org.au/cms/index.php?na ... oad&sid=31

And download :

CCDA FWD Manual Of Motor Sport Version 7.0 Changes .

It has the different specs for each of classes and all the rules of the competition that we follow.
down towards the bottom of the manual is a checklist of what gets checked for a log book.

So is Vicwinch confirmed yet? does anyone know who's running the event?

Less than 12 weeks to go. Suspension, turbo, chromo's, winch, plasma, batteries all sitting next to my car as opposed to on it. If the event is a no go i'll go fishing instead of bolting all of this crap on.

Have heard that the organisation of the Vic Winch is going well and is being ran by 4x4 Inc. in conjunction with the Tallarook 4x4 Club.

Cheers ;)

Well I've heard that the Dandy Ranges 4WD Club will be running it but already know that's not true.
I belkieve it will be held at the same property as round 1, the CCDA will prolly manage the event (as is happening with round 2) and 4X4 inc will look after all the property duties and so on.

Entry form is up on the CCDA website.
There's a flyer for it in the June newsletter too.
