Scangauge

Has anyone here tried the scangauge?

It plugs into your OBD2 port and gives real time readout of your engine operating conditions (fuel use etc).

I use one on my Jeep - it allows you to read and reset the "check engine" codes and on the odd occasion that it's running trouble free, you can use the guage to provide 4 simulataneous readings from the computer while driving.... everything from a recalibrated speedo reading to voltage to throttle position sensor readings, litres of fuel being used per hour, etc.

You can set the readings for metric or imperial and can set it up to do stuff like distance to empty that are built into a lot of factory computers these days.

One of the nice features that has been of use is that any time the engine throws a code, it records the readings of each of the data feeds that it can display to help with narrowing down exactly what is causing the issues.

Not sure who else stocks them but I got mine through Wooders at: www.wooders.com.au
I'm not very good looking, so I guess I better be useful . . .

I've just ordered one from Wooders (the Aussie distributor). Their price is better than I could get buying one from the US.

Yeah I've got one.

Check the compatibility with Aus-delivered vehicles...

Works on a mate's Jeep and Volvo, but hasn't worked on any Toyota I've tried yet...

About AUD$240-280, maybe cheaper.
