Marks 4wd Adaptors used to make a kit for this conversion - but I think they've dropped it.

I did 1 into an 89 with the Marks kit. The sump sat on the ft diff and the bellhousing was hard against the tranny tunnel. I ended up fitting a 2" BL and lifting Marks eng mounts 1" to get everything to clear. It ran the commo trans to the paj transfer. It did go well and it was only a VN commo eng.

if you wanna use a commo v6 use the t700 auto as well and you can mate it to a range rover transfer case. kind like how most of the buggies on the we rock circuit are.

Then you have an offset rear D/S running to a centred diff and a right side drop transfer with a left side front diff. An excellent choice if you want to do a SAS hilux at the same time
