4.4 Stromberg carb

Post by nairbo »

I am trying to get the twin D/draft stromberg to idle and not having much luck, has any one got a parts brake down of one these carbs so I might have some idea of what I am looking at.

The 2 brass screws in the front to either side ,are they the idle mixture ? if so they were screwed in so tight that I striped the heads trying to remove them and had to be removed with visegrips !

My 4.4 has twin SU's so I can't actually see the items you are talking about.

However, I have a P76 workshop manual.
I'll scan the fuel system pages for you.

Hopefully I can post a pdf.

OK, scanned the fuel system section to a pdf (2.5MB).
Don't know how to post it to here, so send me a PM with your email.
