quick question.. can u use a turbo timer with alarm

Post by brad 93hilux »

hi i have been given a turbotimer and have central locking/ immobiliser/ and alarm, is it possible to use the turbo timer and have the alarm set itself after it switches off.. or is it better to use in as a timer and wait with the car and then re-set it when it stops?

Cheers brad

It depends on your alarm setup. Some alarms have an auto arm function that is triggered by the engine stopping, others are triggered by the last door closing etc. If you have the manual for your alarm you should be able to deteremine if it's possible.

What brand (and model if you know it) of alarm do you have?

not 2 sure as i had a auto electrician install it bout 2 years ago.. Yeh once you take the key out of the ignition the car automatically re-arms itself but only with the immobiliser not the alarm....

Maybe go see the auto elec you got to install it and talk to him. That's the easiest way to get an answer.

Good luck.
