hey my mate has got 1982 bj42 with a 3b diesel we where just wondering what 5 speed box will bolt in will a 60 series box fit? (it curntly has a 4 speed) cheers

No a 6 cyl' 60's box won't go behind a 3B because the input shaft is different.

i believe you can change to clutch plate and it will fit but usually the transfer will come real close to the fuel tank.

The input shaft has a different spline and is longer so a clutch plate would not help ,if it did every 4x4 wreckers in the country would be selling them as a conversion to get them out the door.
