CV's and axles

Post by zenteren »

Is there any stronger CV's(birfields) and axles for mq/mk of gu/gq on the market and who makes them. Is there anyone running 37" Simex Extreme Trekkers with front locker and how do you keep front end from braking???

I´m running 37" Goodyear MTR with a tightened Pathfinder LSD up front and look what I did

Here in Panama we use chains on the trails, but now I´m scared to use them.

Plan to get a GU diff. to replace your GQs. GUs have bigger and stronger CVs. Have read that the housing is stronger too...

you can weld rings on them and treat them (nitrite or cryo)

alternativly I have heard of using longfeild chromos with custom axles, GU are bigger but not that much stronger, apart from the big rear diff the diff centres (ring and pinion, centres etc) are no stronger than the GQ counterpart
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!
