Any one used a chaos Y steer arm

Post by beavis »

Has any one had any experience with the Y steer arm from off road industries Does anyone know the part number for the drag link end that is used from the relay rod connecting to the Y steer arm. Or can i use a tie rod end here. The thread size is about 20mm with a right hand thread, and the taper is 16mm to 14mm apprx.
Any help would be appreciated

I bought one last year for my 40 series with SOA from BBM Motorsports. I couldn't get anyone from ORI to answer the phone or emails. Supposedly the guy was sick or something. I rang BBM and they organised a chaeper version instead. Didn't realise that with 60 series knuckles (Disc brake conversion) on my 40 diff, the tie rod ends wouldn't fit as they are different sizes from 40 to 60. So I bit the bullet and took it to Cheezy Racing and had 60 series power steering fitted at the same time. I think it has 80 series tie rod ends, but I don't know whether Cheezy machined the Y arm to get them to fit or not. I was led to believe that standard Hilux tie rod ends should go straight in.
