Best Way of Lifting a GU Leaf Rear Cab Chassis?

Hi Everyone, Long time reader, First time poster. There seems to be the best technical information on this forum.
I have a 2000 GU Cab chassis which has a leaf sprung rear end and coils at the front. The original springs all around are totally shagged as are the original shocks, which means I am in the market for a lift solution. Does anyone know how much lift I can achieve with the leaves and what brands of spring will give really good articulation. I don't want to change to a coil rear end and I'm budgeting about $2000 for parts and $500 for labour unless I do it myself.
I use this ute as my daily driver and also for play (mostly hillclimbing and mud work) I'm planning on running 35x12.5x15's and currently have a 2" body lift. I reckon about a 3" spring lift should do the trick.
I'm hoping to hear from anyone who has actually done this or from anyone who has experience in actually doing the job.

Hi krusty,
I'm changing my leaf suspension over to a coil rear. Already have a 2" lift with old man emu gear on 2002 gu ute! Lifted leafs with greasable and extended shakels. lifted coils and all nitro charger shocks! if your keen on buying them let me know, as will be changing over in next two weeks! only done about 9,000kms. like new. Just changing because i want to do comps.
2" leafs are the biggest lift i could source. Unless you do so serious work.

Also, my ute has 2" body lift and 2" suspension lift and i use 36x12.5x15 beadlocked centipedes. Clears no worries. Gu's have way more clearance in the gaurds. See how you go. Old man emu leafs flex out pretty good.
