Are you sure its a Z9 filter.

I looked it up and the one thats on the car at present is a Valvoline VO22 (Much smaller than a Z9) and says its interchangeable with a Z418 ???

Can you please confirm this.

I got 10L of oil so thats good, now Im unsure of this filter

I think z 9s fit but the oil flow is the wrong way through the filter.

lol....the z9 is a ford filter, it incorperates a bypass valve. Thesame filter for a datsun is double the price because it doesnt have a bypass in the filter but it is in the block....so i used to use the z9 and smile at ppl paying double for less....same with your Toyota....buy Toyota if you must....all filters filter from outside to inside....its just the od of the filter, the thread in the end of it, and the bypass or no bypass....

Ok so the thread and filtering are the same thats cool I got some spare Z9`s here from my Hilux :D ,But what about the size diffrence, will a Z9 get into the small area underneath the intake, behind the Alt,between the block and inner guard etc ???

the z9 goes straight on my brothers 80s but my 100s has a different one as stated above.
i haven't tried to fit a z9 to mine as its hard enough to get that little bastard out of there as it is.

oil capacity is 7.2 litres with filter.

I remember reading somewhere (probably on here somewhere) that a Z9 filter is a really crappy filter. Only filters down to some level, whilst others filter much finer.
