3FE electronic ignition into a 3F is it possible ?

G'day all,

I've done some searching on electronic ignition and all the threads I saw were concerned with aftermarkert kits or fitting cressedia internals to the stock 3F dizzy. What I want to know is if I can rig up a 3FE distributer in my 3F to achieve the same result ? From what i've read i'll need a bosch HEI module but i'm not sure if its possible with a 3FE distributer. Any help appreciated

if the electronic dizzy has a vacuum advance like older ones, then bolt straight in and buy a electronic coil, and wire up neg as per points...i think it will fit straight in, but have never done it...however many moons ago, someone did...

D-oh dont think it will work, just read this of ih8mud

"# 1988 - 1992 distributor redesigned w/ out advance. Distributor pickup is a crank angle sensor, advance curve is controlled by computer."


So unless i can get something to control the advance i'm buggered!
