just wondering if 31x11.5 inch tyres will fit on 7inch wide rims or will they be too wide? anyone know from experience?

and does anyone have this size tyre on their ifs hilux on 15" rims.... does it scrub at all?

i had 31x10 and they were fine but just through on some 33x12.5 and they scrub i got 8 in wide rims with 12.5 and its great i can drop my tyre pressure down to 10psi and the beed dont pop

I ran 33x12.50's on 7's for ages without a drama. 31X10.50's will be fine.

They will fit, but some tyres are onlt deemed to be legally fitted if the legal specified rim width is adhered to.

Yes, they will fit on, but if something happens you may be screwed.
I know my 31x10.50 are on the limit with 7" rims.

these are 11.5 wide not 10.5, which is why im worried. anyone have 11.5's fitted?

285/75R16 is 32.8x11.2 - minimum required rim width is 7.5".

As stated earlier, a 7" rim is minimum width for a 31x10.5 and 33x12.5 requires (from memory) 8.5" minimum rim width. I doubt a 7" width would be legal for 11.5" tyre width.

This is all to remain legal. As others have indicated, the combination will work OK, if you can convince somebody to fit them for you. Personally, I would (and did) buy the correct size rims.
