going from 4.3s to 4.88s???

go up a few sizes in tyre and youll be set

otherwise you will be at full revs at 100kms.

With 31" tyres i was doing about 105 @ 3000rpm with 0.838 overdrive and 4.88:1. Have you worked out the speed vs. RPM difference yet as you know the two ratios?

so you have a mate who has a 4.88 hi-pinon centre hey

remember your steering runs behind the axle and you need a high pinon centre

i run 4.8's and 35's and its not a bad combo but i really don't notice the difference at top end as the little 22R at 100 is reving hard no matter what gears u r running. I only notice a difference on take off and its slightly better in the bush.
If your mate is willing to swap a 4.8 high pinion for a 4.3 and u dont want to do the swap, can u give me his details as i am after another 4.8 high pinion and i have a 4.3 and 4.5 high pinion spare.....

Cheers Daniel
