Howdy
I am about to sleeve my rear trailing arms ton my 86 Rangie to strengthen. To hold the new steel pipe over the existing arm, I was just going to put a few tabs of weld to stop any movement.
So, my question is are Range Rover rear trailing arms ok to weld?
Cheers
Andrew

welding trailing arms

Engineers dont like anything being welded which is fair enough too as with out been able to x-ray the weld they cant tell if its any good or not..
Its very easy to make a mig weld look good...
In answer to your question yes they can be welded.
I have a set on my 110 that are sleeved, cranked and welded and a set on my Rangie that are sleeved and welded..A few mates have done there Discos too.....Is it legal no,but neither are 35inch tyres
If u wanted to get it engineered u could always plug weld them and grind the welds back smooth and paint them...They wont have any weld showing that way
