There is a few custom made bars out there (plenty @ the OBC) though I've only really seen one that grabbed my attention (Red GU ute with yellow bar work @ the Willowglen comp).
I'm sure Brooksy will come up with a 'flash' looking bar for me
try superior alignment Craig there does plenty of costum bar work, they at cabulture/brendale way, he has one on his 572ci big block gu ute. He may be able to e-mail some pic's n mite be a bit closer to home 4u
You're a good woman Bel but I've left Vic nearly 12 months ago now so it's a long way back home to get him to do me a bar though he done a nice job on the sliders he made for me .
I know the one you're talking about Troll & I've actually got a pic of it here. It was @ Expo the other month, I'll give them a call & see what it's worth to make.

LOL.. It's the thought that counts..haha.. Hmm.. maybe I should take notice of where ppl are from..
But then again, he's making a front bar for someone in WA.. what a man!..
Glad you're happy with the sliders.
I was looking through your site the other day & noticed you have pics of my GU ute there. You done the 7' lift on it before I purchased it (the bronze GU) .
not tube but looked into a custom front GU bar with bubs and with airbags fitted it was going to be nothign but dramas so decided to part with the folding and by an arb off the shelf one. Just because i dont want to get hung out to dry by insurance/DOT/whoever... I'm keen to see how you go GU Bug!
PS - sliders are on and look the business. Not bush tested yet though - absolutly hanging to go for a bush run when i manage to jack her up 4 or so and can get the 35's out of the gargare and under the girl! I'll let you know when i have done so and i'd love a guided tour up around Glasshouse... Ben.
GU 4.2 TD Garrett BB Hi-flow, M8274 + Bells & Whistles with plenty of fruit still on the list!

Good to hear the sliders all went together well for you Ben .
As for the bar, I don't have airbags in the ute so it's not so much of an issue for me. I had the same prob with the wagon as far as building a custom bar that would be compatible with air bags.
and its a 502 big block chev, not 572. it now has coilovers on the rear (as per 1st photo)
(not my pics)
i love everything about this rig... Interior is clean/simple & effective. trick barwork/lights/spare mounting. big block v8. front & rear winches. coilovers...

The abs sensor in the wagons is an accelerometer mounted under the centre console.... so you have have a dozor blade mounted to the front bumper and it shouldnt affect the ABS. This was discussed recently!
