Whatever you can afford to buy! :finger:

Of course a wide track if you can find one in your price range..... and if it's got the features you want.

Sorry is this a big debatable topic?

Is there much difference (sorry this is probably a stupid question) do they both perform the same?

Depends what you class as "perform" better?

They would have to weigh more, so in theory would accelerate slower and use more fuel.

A wider track should improve on road and off road handling by making the vehicle more stable (and less likely to roll if raised and driving on steep side slopes.)

Wider also means you may not be able to fit through places a narrow track can.

Are those sort of things what you're after? It's probably a question that can only be answered by someone who has extensively driven both models on and off road.....

I am only curious as there aren't many wide tracks for sale out there with air con. I mean I travel over 110 km a day 5 days a week so comfort (apart from air con) is a big priority for me.

I guess I just want to get it right. I am forking out a lot of money (well a lot to me anyway) and I don't want to buy something that I will regret

Not sure about Feroza.
Rocky Widetrack came with IFS and coil at the back.
Pre march 93 or narrow track came with leaf at the
front and back. There is huge differance in driving comfort
between the two. Narrow is rough as guts and Widetrack is softer and more comfy.
If only Daihatsu decided to go coils all round this would be the best
little truck .
This is for Aus Rocky , not sure about Feroza but I believe it would
the same.

All I'll say is a real quick story...

Me and a mate went 4wding one evening. He was driving a narrow track and I was driving my wide track. Both of us have locked front diffs and the same lift...

He rolled twice in 1 section and I walked through....

Wider is better offroad...and more stable around corners on road...just my 2cents :)

widetrack!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can afford a wide track - get it. More stable, looks better, and can handle lift better.

I have a narrowtrack - so not being biased here. If I was going to buy another feroza, would be a wide track. No question.

What rims are you running Leon? The 15x7 rims and change to 235/70R15 tyres have made a huge difference to the ride and handling on mine.

I'm on a Narrow Track. But I think the Wide Track looks better and more aggressive. The thing is that only Narrow Track Ferozas were brought here in the Philippines.
