Gu Dual Battery Location

Post by Paul2131 »

I have had a good search and I cant seem to find Pictures of how people have fitted thier Dual Batterys in a GU Patrol 4.5l Petrol.

I know it goes on the air filter side but before I start pulling things out to get the battery tray in can someone please send me a photo of what it looks like fitted so I have some idea.

Thanks in advance for any help I get.

We never fitted the battery on 4.5 or 4.8 under bonnet, It may me posable I cant remember how much stuff was in the road. We always put the in the cargo area n hooked the up with a 50 amp anderson plug so they can ge removed when not in use. Deisels have the battery tray bolt in bolt in behind the air cleaner on the LHS front guard.

Thanks,

People do fit them in the engine bay and I have just sold my Diesel Patrol and fitting a dual in the engine bay was a breeze...Loads of room.

Not much room though with these Petrols

I would only want to put it inside the cargo area as a very last resort...I have heard horror stories about what can happen when your battery is inside the truck and not under the bonnet. Fire and acid spills etc.

I think you have to move stuff round in the bay to make it fit
