Mate, there are heaps and heaps of threads about this, and the answer is the same:
Rear springs are 80mm longer than fronts. they have more arch and a lower rate.
If bolted on with stock rear spring hangers, the front axle comres forward 40mm. This increase in wheelbase moves the cars centre of gravity rearward.and moves the tyres away from the firewall, allowing larger tyres to be fitted.
The springs have approximately 4" more droop in them and ride softer because they have a lower rate and and longer.
The end result is a car that balances at a different point - it doesn;t want to pick up front wheels as much and feels better when descending. The front flexes harder, the car has more travel, and rides heaps heaps better.
There are heaps of ways of doing it, some are more work than others. I recommend what I call "full" RUF, which uses the stock rear spring hanger to move the axle forward the full 40mm. This has the biggest efefct but requires a chassis extension, relocated bumpstops and lots of other work.
There are a number of other ways and variations. do a search.
