Guys,
I test drove a diesel gq today and the gearstick seamed to move side to side even though it was in gear?
What do you think the problem is?

There's a little plastic bush which snaps onto the ball at the end of the stick. It may have been missing this bush. Don't know for sure, just hazarding a guess.

It could be there but not 'snapped' into end of gear lever. Gearstick may have been removed to replace a clutch or something and not put back together quite right. the bush in question would cost no more than $10.
This is assuming of course that this is the problem. It was just my first thought to check this bush.
If it's broken i'd say it was just a faulty part. How can hard driving fcuk something that just works as a pivot point on the end of a gearstick. Must've been one cnt of a driver if it wasGM wrote:I have not got the part no. But its not expencive and its easy to fit so dont stress about it.BUT for that bush to be stuffed that car has done a fair bit of work so dont get ripped off when buying it
