il still get a second set of tyres that i would change to for a week/weekend away or whatever but i still want something aggressive enough that i can go away on hollidays and still have decent traction

Only had the Claws for a couple of months and haven't had the opportunity for a "real" play yet, but I'd agree they're good at digging holes and they're a bit scary on side slopes, but haven't had them down below 20 PSI yet either.... Seem to work quite nicely in the mud I've played in so far though.

Not as good on road as BFG muddies, but I don't do a lot of onroad as the vehicle is no longer a DD.

Its always been said they are bad, and just lookin at the tread you can see they would slide sideways pretty easy..

i wouldnt say that, i was stuck in a pretty big bog hole one day, had a set of my mates 33 inch x terrains(pretty much same as a radial calw, comes from the same factory) was running them at 22 psi, both fronts debeaded, tore out the breaklines, and distroyed a cv. mind you, i was booged for about 2 hours b4 the first tyre de beaded, and then the second went another 2 hours after that. was a pain full hole

At the same time i've done redline runs in rutted/rocky/rooted tracks on 10psi with 10" rims, without problems!

Depends on the tyre, the rim, the car etc.

Done a year now on claws (radial) in Vic, in the mud and the crud, they impress me no end as good Vic offroad tyres.

I don't run lockers yet I also don't get stuck, had them in and out of Blowhard and Cockpit Ck in the middle of winter, even towed a Pajero up out of Cockpit ck, again no lockers.

I can't speak for pedes, never used them and only seen them used in the dry.

I enclose a pic of the stuck Paj with me coming through the big boghole to tow him out as evidence.

With lockers I reckon they would be unstopable,

looked at a set of MTZs today, didnt look too bad

had both, claws are good in a straight line but don't steer at all. claws wore better but at low pressure the radials are too weak in the side wall. been on 36 pedes for the last year or so and still love em. the et2's seem to be a big improvement on the first et's too especially with the wear factor (even though everyone s!@t canned them when they first come out and cut the middle blocks out). i.ll be buying another set(36 et2's) for this winter.

got bead sealant put in yesterday.
im still going to try a different type of tyre for my next set.
at the moment its either going to be MTZs or CLAWs unless i come accros something else in the meantime

Had both claws and pedes and there is no comparison, pedes win hands down, and maxxis mudzillas are even worse than claws.
