60, 000km 2005 holden cruze (apparently the same motor as a Jimny).
Questions: a) Is this correct?
b) is this a hard conversion into a Sierra/vitara
I am unsure of the work involved, but it comes with Gearbox, computer, etc. May be of interest to someone.
Not for me - but it may be a bargain for others.

For those looking for a replacement motor
As the ad says, the catch is the gearbox. M series motors sauch as this one and G series motors do not share the same bolt pattern, so either a jimny manual or auto with an M series pattern would have to be sourced.
Jimny manuals have a big extension housing for the shifter that will place the gearlever over the transfer on a sierra. Can be worked around but adds to the hassle.
The Cruze auto etc is all useless for this application, unless someone wanted to drive a transfer off the cruze rear output and use the front outputs to drive a "God Winch" (although that's all way left field)
Steve.

I'm have always wondered if the M series of engines have the same bellhousing bolt patterns I will be looking into this mod in the future, as for now I've bought a rolled 2000 jx Jimny which has the G13BB engine I guess,( coming from perth) so thats my current project.
I would be interested if anyone has gone down this road too.

M series and G series are different.
I am fitting the m13a (Jimny 2004) with the m series manual fivespeed box to a swb Sierra.
The engine can be fitted with a combination of G series and M series mounts or you can cut of the G series mounts and fabricate new.
The M series gearbox has the extension for the shifter so the shifter is moved back leaving the shifter and TC lever able to hit eachother (fixed by providing a slight bend it each stick and mounting a joint boot over the base of both shifters.) On the plus side it does give you a nice space for building a centre console under the dash
The M series out of the Cruze unless I am mistaken is mounted trasverse, this will probably mean fabrication of new mounts plus you will need to find a rwd gearbox to mate it to.
The back of the gearbox proper falls short of the old rear mount by about 50mm, this is a case of fitting a simple adaptor (weld on a plate and bolt box to it)
You are going from carby to mpfi this means further changes to electrics (big job), fuel system and emissions etc.
This is a viable conversion and will require engineering.
The M series 5 speed from a Jimny runs the same ratios as available in a Sierra. So the benfits of going to the m13a is newer more reliable version of what you originally had plus 25% power increase and 10% torque increase, all Suzuki. Still all alloy block so no need to upgrade suspension.
