i have two options
1 put mq diffs in if its not hard to do
2 calmini gears
the motor is swift gti with t25 turbo. So what otion would be better

what is the problem you are trying to fix? ie do you want a stronger driveline or a reduced gear ratio. if its ratios then go the gears.

i dont know if the sierra diffs will stand the motor but i suppose if i put gears in it will reduce the presure on them

buy the way this is going to be runing 31s maybe 32s

Calmini transfer case gears will not hold your diffs together. They will allow you to slow the car down a bit, which will prevent some problems.

Your diffs shouldn't really be the problem. Ring and pinion failure, whilst not unknown, is fairly rare. If you are running open diffs and, say, 31's even your rear axles should be fine.

The real problem will be in the CV's. If you use the car offroad in technical conditions, you will break CV's.

What breaks CV's is not the HP as much as it is traction. Traction is the killer. IF you don't have enough traction to load eveything up, then the CV's will live fine. That's why CV's don't break with stock tyres, but do start breaking at around the 31" tyre mark.

Calmini gears will mulitply torque at the wheels. (The strength of axles and diffs is measured by their torque handling capability) they will really mean you can just break things easier when you get excited with the car jammed up.

You haven't given us much information. If your car is a NT, you will struggle to easily put MQ diffs under it the spring hangers on the front need outboarding. If you are a NT, then there are no readily available heavy duty parts for your existing axles.

You haven't told us if you plan to are are running lockers.

If you have a WT, then you have the option of Calmini Chrome moly rear axles and double tough front CV's from Trail Tough.

Personally, I think you will loose a lot of capability and performance through added weight and lost ground clearance if you go to MQ and only run a 31/32. If it was me, I would look into adding some strength to my suzuki axles.

If you are NT, then obviously you have to look at your options a bit more carefully.

sorry i have a wide track and yeh i know that the spring perches line up but what about steering wise for those mq diffs

i might just keep my standard drive line and see how it goes for the time being and get the calmini gears for the 31s

Is this a road going legal vehicle, if so the diffs and tyre sizes will be illegal, it seems form all the posts on here, for QLD.

I would go the gears for sure before swapping axels and the whole bit! ;)
