hey guys, i have a problem.
i have a NA 1984 swb pajero, it has a holden v8 motor and turbo 350 auto box with a Marks 4wd auto to transfer case adaptor.
i have been having trouble shifting gears from 2wd to 4wd and low 4wd, i'm not sure what other people do, put the auto in park to shift or roll on slowly in gear while you shift??
because the problem is the shifter is stuck in what i think is the neutral position, i cannot get drive at all and the front driveshaft is locked solid too.
so the car can roll fowards and back, but no drive to the wheels, the transfer case must be stuck between gears or something. the gearlever is jammed solid.
anyone able to help??

i beleive with the autos you have to be in park or neutral to shift the xfer lever.
have you missed any wires or anything?

sorry mate i cant help u out any with ur problem but i was looking into putting a holden v8 in my 85 swb paj and was just wondering if u could give me any advice or some pictures of the transfer. does marks make engine mounts for the conversion or did u make custom ones? any info u would be able to give me would greatly appriciated

hey man, as simple as it sounds... have you checked the oil in the t/f case? if its too low the gears could seased (spellings not my strong point:))blue_vl_t wrote:hey guys, i have a problem.

if the oil is ok, and the shifter is stuck check the mounts. Maybe they have twisted or broken under all that torke?
