Coily Grill on a Leafie

Post by cjdeane10 »

Hi,

just a quick one - did anyone have any drama's putting a coily grill into a Leafy?

I like the look of the indicators on the side of the grill, and i will be going to the wreckers on the weekend anyway so might see if i can pick one up.

Will i need to get the headlights aswell or will the Leafy ones go in Ok?

I will do some measurements on my current grill - i am sure someone has doen this before?

(I know this is probably common - but i did do a search, and checked the bible already)

I *think* HRZOOK did that to his blue hardtop on 35's. however his members thread has been deleted...
come to think of it that could have been a coily to start with. I cant remember...

The front guards are different too. You will need the whole front clip. (gaurds, radiator support, grille, indicators, front trim)

Most people also want the bonnet, which is smoother and suits the shape of coil front end more, but this doesn't match the cowl on a leaf car and results in a gap.

Your headlights will swap over.

Bugger... oh well...

So there isnt a chopped up / forceful way of getting the grill in at all?

It will probably look messy if i start cutting the grill, etc.

Thanks for the info guys!
